Understanding Curses and Real Black Magic

Many fake psychics tell their clients that they have been cursed, and then demand a large fee to remove the effects of black magic. How can you know if you have been cursed by real black magic?

This post will explore signs of being cursed, and later posts will explain how to remove a curse without spending thousands on a sham psychic.

What Is Magick?

Magick (spelled with a k to differentiate from stage magic) is the art of using your intention to direct energy toward a desired outcome. Practitioners hone their concentration and develop their sensitivity to accumulate energy and send power into the world in a directed and purposeful way.

Magick itself is neither good nor evil. It is simply directing energy consciously. The individual’s intention sets the tone for any magickal workings. Just like a knife can be used to feed people or to kill people, magick can be used to bring healing and benefit, or to harm and curse. The difference lies in the practitioner’s intention.

So, What Is Real Black Magic and White Magic?

So-called “black” magick practitioners are willing to use their power and intention to direct harm toward another person. An example would be wishing for bad things to happen to someone, even to the point of making an altar, calling on evil forces, and stabbing pins into a doll that represents the enemy. Sadly, this is the stereotypical view many people have of magick and witchcraft in general, but not all practitioners use their power in this way.

So-called “white” magick practitioners use their power and intention to bring good to others and themselves. Instead of wishing evil toward an enemy, a white magick practitioner might pray for protection for themselves. Some might even generate compassion and lovingkindness for their enemy, or pray for healing for the situation in general.

Karma, or the Principle of Cause and Effect

Buddhist saint Milarepa learned how to use his spiritual power wisely after he abused his power to bring harm to others.

These different approaches would have different outcomes for the practitioner. Many believe that the energy one puts into the universe is returned three-fold. This means that what you put out into the world will come back to you and is a type of law of karma (results from actions).

In my experience, this seems to generally be true. When I am generous and give to others, I usually find that I receive unexpected gifts that are even better than what I gave away, for example. If I treat others unkindly, I might experience similar treatment so I can see what it is like to be treated that way.

According to The Life of Milarepa, Buddhist saint Milarepa originally studied with a sorceror who taught him to influence the weather. He used his power to send hailstorms that damaged a hated uncle’s crops. Later, he found his guru and teacher, who had him continually build stone towers, only to then dismantle them. Sore and frustrated, Milarepa questioned his teacher. The wise sage said he had Milarepa do this to reduce the karma he had created by his misuse of his power over his uncle.

What Are Curses?

Ordinary curse words are an example of directing power to harm another.

In truth, we all practice magick daily, whether we realize it or not. Our daily thoughts, words (spoken and written), and actions create effects (karma). Most people do not realize how much personal power they have, and so they are not mindful of their thoughts, words, and deeds in the same way magick practitioners are.

When we cuss at someone, we use a “curse word.” Our intention is typically to send anger, hatred, or other bad feelings toward someone when we utter these words. We know it is not kind to use them, and we typically only use them against perceived enemies.

A curse by a magickal practitioner takes things even further. Someone practicing real black magick might set an intention and direct their personal power toward harming a perceived enemy and causing them suffering. This may even extend to multiple generations (for example, cursing a lineage to enact revenge).

Are Curses Real?

Even though curse removal is a common psychic scam, curses can be real and can cause harm. A curse is an attempt to harm or control another person by using spiritual power to direct energy against them.

Some malicious people actually do consciously generate curses toward others. Some might even invoke demonic or satanic energies to bring others down. This is one reason psychic protection is very important.

Common Signs of Being Cursed

Demonic entities might be invoked for real black magic.
  1. Strings of bad luck
  2. Financial difficulties
  3. Extreme health difficulties
  4. Feeling very tired and drained
  5. Frequent accidents
  6. Nightmares
  7. Constantly thinking of someone and feeling upset or sick when you do
  8. Desire to cause self-harm
  9. Someone tells you they have cursed you
  10. Severe addictions

How Can I Know If I Have Been Cursed?

If you are wondering, How do I know if my family has been cursed or put under witchcraft? here are some tips from my Quora answers:

  1. Set the intention to see if your family has been cursed or put under witchcraft.
  2. Sit and calm your mind into a meditative state. Pay attention to all you see, hear, feel, sense, or just “know” until you feel you have received sufficient guidance.
  3. You might also try automatic writing to your ancestors or spirit guides. You write your note to them, then write back “as” them. Just pretend or feel they are writing through you. Don’t judge the writing and just let it out. They will tell you.

Curses and Real Black Magic

If you believe or sense that you have been cursed, don’t worry or fear. Ironically, worry and fear are lower vibratory states that can feed demonic entities. Know that you have the power to heal and can protect yourself from any harm. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars, either. We will discuss techniques to reverse curses, protect yourself, and heal in the next post.
