A lot of my clients know they have psychic gifts, but many are nervous to explore them for various reasons. In this post, I address a common concern: is a psychic reading demonic?
The Bible talks about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is one of these gifts that is mentioned. So, psychic readings are not in essence demonic. They can help you to realize your spiritual mission and purpose. I give psychic readings with the intention that I bring through whatever messages serve the health and healing of the recipient. I ask that they serve their highest good and be delivered in a way I can understand and communicate.
Still, it is important to use discernment (another gift of the Holy Spirit) when interacting with the spiritual world or with a psychic. An uninformed person (or someone who consciously desires to summon a demon) might connect with a demonic entity and channel information from it that would be demonic. Check in with your own inner guidance system before getting a psychic reading or healing session and make sure you feel good about the healer or psychic.
It is wise to be clear exactly what and who you are connecting with when you channel spiritual information. Just like real life, you will encounter friends and foes on the psychic plane. Your clear intention and prayer will protect you so that you can receive your own intuitive messages for yourself and others.
A loving, calm feeling surrounds me when I connect with my angels, spirit guides, and my own Higher Self. Demons and low-energy entities feed off of states like anger, guilt, hatred, jealousy, depression, and despair. Be sure to pay attention to how you feel and take necessary precaution (like psychic shielding) when interacting with the psychic realm.
