What Is Telepathy?

Are you interested in how to learn telepathy? Merriam-Webster defines telepathy as “communication from one mind to another by extrasensory means.” I like to think of it as a thought stream that can be broadcast and received by others. We all have the natural psychic power of being telepathic.

Telepathy definitely exists. I know because I have experimented with sending telepathic messages and discovered they work.

So I tried to generate strong thoughtforms during a drum circle… I found the energy of the drumming changed based on my strongly projected thoughts.

How Does Telepathy Work?

I understand telepathy by considering that I don’t “see” how an e-mail gets sent, but somehow the message goes from my computer to someone’s inbox. It’s the same with telepathy, but the messages are sent on the frequency of thought instead of via wireless internet.

It’s also like a radio or TV. Before these technologies were invented, who could have imagined we could transmit sound, images, and video over thousands of miles? On mysterious invisible frequencies, this data travels over long distances. When inventors uncovered technology that made this transmission possible, they gave us a great metaphor for how telepathy works.

We have labeled some forces as electric, magnetic, atomic, musical, etc. Some frequencies are not visible or accessible to humans, yet animals can see or access them. I assume telepathic impulses are traveling along one of these unseen, but very real, frequencies. I imagine humans are like radio transmitters that can broadcast and receive these frequencies.

This reminds me of brainwaves and how we know certain frequencies induce certain states of mind… I’m not a scientist, but wonder if these might be connected somehow to telepathy.

We send and receive invisible messages from each other throughout space and time. I mean, humanity — we are one whole. We are interconnected on a planet and will continue to be born, die, and be transformed for as long as Creation sees fit. After death, we become the soil, which becomes the food, which feeds the people and animals, who live and influence the world, then die, and become the soil, and so forth and so on.

If you zoom in close enough, you will see we are all made of atoms and cells. Zoom in even closer, and there is no separation between any of us. What makes me me and you you? There are physical boundaries on our bodies but not perceivable boundaries between our mental transmissions or spirits.

Great idea! Using telepathy is not only useful — it’s fun! I’ve used telepathic animal communication to have my cat and dog come home. Recently I needed to take my cat Raven to the vet, and he was out somewhere in the neighborhood. I beamed a mental image to him of coming home and tried to imagine feeling as if he were already there. By the time I was dressed and ready for the vet, Raven was back home and ready to go.

How long do you estimate until the human race develops established telepathic abilities and why? 

We already have telepathic abilities right now, and have had them throughout our history as humans. The thing is that most people don’t tap into their intuitive and psychic gifts and think having psychic abilities is something supernatural. It’s not. It’s actually super natural to have psychic powers.

So it is something that needs to be re-discovered. I have read stories about indigenous people communicating to each other telepathically long ago, to send messages when they were out hunting or at war.

I have found the skill easy to develop once I realized it existed, and was able to see the effect of various thoughts I mentally broadcast to a drum circle. Meditating and being aware of what is going through my consciousness in general has also helped.

I have experimented with telepathically communicating to others (people, animals, and spirit guides), discerning when I am receiving a telepathic message, and using telepathy to uplift the energy in a space.

I imagine modern people are mainly “too busy” or “too skeptical” to spend time developing this, so it may be decades before our natural telepathic abilities are re-discovered and nurtured instead of demonized/misunderstood on a bigger scale.

Which superpower is better: Telepathy or Seeing the future? Why? 

They’re both cool and thankfully we don’t have to pick just one. I think everyone has these abilities, so they are actually not superpowers, just normal human capabilities. Most people have shut down these gifts and might even be afraid to explore them.

I’ve had awesome claircognition and telepathic communication experiences. It is really cool to see the future for clients and later hear it came true. It is also cool to telepathically communicate with others and to receive telepathic communication.

A cool superpower I don’t have but want is the ability to teleport.

What will it take for telepathy to be a real means of communication? 

I’ve used it as a real means of communication many times. I suppose accepting that it exists and practicing meditation are both helpful in cultivating it.

How can someone know if they have a telepathic connection with someone? 

You can definitely feel telepathic connections, especially if you have a regular meditation practice that helps you cultivate awareness of your inner thoughts and feelings.

We all experience telepathy and it is totally normal, but most people are taught to deny it or to think it is supernatural. Really, these telepathic connections are super natural.

It can also be fun to use telepathy for healing or to enhance the world around you. You can consciously generate thoughtforms, or send telepathic messages to others, by using the power of your mind.

If you think you have a telepathic connection, you probably do. So just trust your intuition.

Practice. It can be more effective to send images than words. I like to use telepathy with my pets. One time my dog ran away and I couldn’t catch him. I kept telepathically beaming him the image of him coming home and me feeling so happy. He returned, without me chasing him, in less than 2 minutes.

Also pay attention to your thoughts. Meditate to really get clear on your thinking so you can sense when you may be receiving a message. Meditation clears space to receive. Confirm and validate any telepathic impressions you notice in daily life.

Yes, it is real, whether one believes in it or not. We are all telepathically transmitting and receiving thoughts and other subtle sensations (or energy impulses) throughout the day.

It is easy to understand in the modern day because we see how radio transmitters broadcast and receive signals using technology. Telepathy is like this, but without needing wiring or equipment. I didn’t believe in it or think much about it when I was younger, but as I have grown older and explored meditation and energy healing, I have found that it is a skill I have and can develop and use. I believe we are born with this ability and it is up to us to reject or nurture it.

I’ve heard that indigenous people were so adept at telepathic communication that they would use it to communicate with children or individuals who were off hunting or foraging. I believe it because I have used telepathic communication to call my dog back to my house after he ran away and to call a cat to me when I was not sure where it was in the neighborhood. Practice, study, and try it yourself! Direct experience is always the best proof available. There are books on the topic, and meditation helps you to enter a receptive, clear state of mind.

Is it possible to be friends with a dead person? 

Yes, as a psychic medium, I find it is even easier to talk to my dead friends than my living ones. You just use telepathy, don’t even need a phone or a car or to coordinate schedules. My dead loved ones are usually around to give support or inspiration, and I feel very close to them even though they have crossed over.
